I AM A CHRISTIAN NOW!
Dear Parents,
Guiding children to take those first steps toward faith can be the most rewarding opportunity of life for parents. Parents who have growing relationships with Christ should create an environment for a child to be introduced to Him from the first days of life. As a child grows and matures, his knowledge of Jesus will grow. By laying these foundations for spiritual conversion, parents become partners with the Holy Spirit as He prepares and calls your child to accept Christ as Savior.
It is exciting when a child feels and accepts the invitation to follow Christ. Given the importance of that decision, I would like to invite you and your child to be a part of a discipleship process that will compliment what you are currently doing to assist your child in growing in Christ. This study is entitled “I’m a Christian Now!” The process will include a book to use in your home along with four group studies and a class for parents. You are your child’s best teacher and primary Bible teacher. We want to equip you to guide your child on this journey to follow Christ.
Please take a few moments to consider enrolling you and your child in “I’m a Christian Now!” class. The class will require time during the week to follow up on each session, but it will be time well spent — time that will impact your child’s life from this point on and to eternity.
Your child will receive a journal to work in each day during the week. This will be a valuable time for you both. Also, you will want to make sure that your child attends each of the four sessions except for illness or other crises. Each session will cover important information about what it means to be a Christian.
The first class started on March 16, 2008 with 10 students. All classes are held during KidZone. If you would like your child to attend a class sign up in the children’s registration area. We are limiting class sizes so that the children can get the most out of the classes; but, we will have as many classes as we need.
